Event Calendar - Event List - Change the way the date shows up

Question

Hi, 
 I would like to change the way the dates of events show up in the Event Calendar - Event List widget. Instead of just showing the start date, I'd like it to show the date range . I am not a developer. Is this a small customization? Is there a few lines of code I can change to accomplish this?

Edit the Event List Widget, sidebar.vm file. 
 Find the line (line 16 in my version) 
 $eventDate 
 replace it with: 
 $eventDate $core_v2_language.GetResource("to") $core_v2_language.FormatDateAndTime($event.EventEndDate, "%{AdjustTimeZone = 'false'}"))
