LDAP Setup in 10.1?

Thank you so much for replying. I tried this and found the document to have holes. For example, it says to edit "communityserver_override.config" in the Job Service directory. I have a Job Server directory, but not Job Service. Also, since I don't have a communityserver_override.config file, where do I get it? I tried creating a new empty file and pasting in what I needed from the instructions, but that did not work.

If you don't have a job service, you did not install the job server properly, but that really is referring to the directory the job service exe is in.   If you don't have an override file, create a file named communityserver_override.config with the following contents:

Thank you again. That was very helpful. I've completed those steps, but I am still having issues logging in with my windows credentials. Our AD group has over 500 users and the default admin account I created is no longer working, so is there a manual sync that I need to run? If so, how do I do that?

I also wasn't too sure of what to enter into the server name "LDAP://" . Is this the IP address of my domain controller, the name of the domain, or do I leave it blank?

Is your web server a member of your domain? 

Yes, it is joined to the domain.

Are you getting a windows prompt to log in?  As in modal the browser pops open before opening the site?

No, I see a login page that looks like a web page.

You have not setup windows authentication correctly.  Specifically, the part of changing the web.config authentication mode to windows...assuming the overrides are right.

You will no longer get a login screen, authentication will be a windows prompt

Thank you again for your time. My web.config has <authentication mode="Windows"> there instead of forms. I've rebooted and it still isn't taking. My override file has the name and <Overrides> codes that you shared earlier. Should I do anything else to resync to ensure my changes are taking?

What does IIS say under authentication?  Is Anonymous turned off?

So when I double checked, I saw that I had Anonymous Authentication, ASP.NET Impersonation, and Forms Authentication disabled and Windows Authentication enabled, but after further review saw that was for the actual machine. When I selected the site, Anonymous was on and Windows was off. I just corrected it. Thank you so much for your help!
