In release 9.0, the Forums - Moderate permission was renamed Review Abuse.
You can set the permissions for roles on the forum Manage forum > Permissions tab.
To set forum permissions for a role:
- Navigate to the forum.
- Mouse over Management.
- Click Manage forum > Permissions. The Permissions tab is displayed.
- Click a role to modify, such as Registered Users. The role permissions list check boxes appear.
You can search for a permission in the search box, or check the appropriate check box(es) on the list:- Attach Local Files - Role can upload and attach files to a post.
- Attach Remote Files - Role can link to media hosted on a separate server.
- Bypass Moderation - Role can bypass moderation.
- Bypass Validation - Role can bypass file type (extension) restrictions when uploading files (depends on Attach Local Files permission).
- Create Polls - Role can create forum polls - *(Deprecated and no longer used after version 8.5 with the introduction of embeddable Polls. Will be removed in a future release.)
- Create Reply - Role can create forum replies.
- Create Threads - Role can create forum threads.
- Delete Posts - Role can delete forum posts.
- Edit Posts - Role can edit forum posts.
- Edit Settings - Role can edit settings for a forum.
- Mark Reply as Answer - Role can mark a forum reply as an answer.
- Mark Thread as Announcement - Role can mark thread as an announcement.
- Mark Thread as Sticky - Role can mark a forum thread as sticky.
- Rate Posts - Role can rate forum posts.
- Read Content - Role can read forum posts.
- Review abuse - Role can moderate and review abuse in a forum.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
