Email templates are easy to enable and customize. Both of these operations are performed in the applicable Administration Panel plugin tab using a graphical user interface window in each one's configuration. Templates for the plugin can be reverted to default if a reset is necessary.
Enabling templates
The Administration Panel Notifications tab is the control center for all Telligent Community Server notification plugins, giving you plugin "enable" options as well as configuration access.

As plugins, email templates offer customization in the site via a WYSIWYG editor.
Email template configuration
Using the TinyMCE enhanced editor in any template field, you can customize the template's format, tokens, text, and images.
The following screen capture displays the email template window for the "Abusive Appeal Review Needed email plugin.
In this interface:
- The Template drop-down list gives you access to individual templates the plugin contains (email - header, email - footer, email - subject, and email - body).
- The Language drop-down list lets you select the language for which to edit the template.
- The text editor field gives you complete control over the template format, verbiage, and image.
Tokens
Email templates are mostly composed of text and variables or display elements called tokens. Each token can have:
- Length delimiters
- Conditions for display
- Display elements
Note that tokens can, themselves, contain other tokens (as in the case of the Email Digest template).
Preview email
After customizing the template to your satisfaction, you can preview how the email will appear to recipients by clicking Preview Email. This will display how the message will look in the browser.
Send preview email
In addition to previewing the template in the browser, you can send yourself the email by clicking the Send Preview Email button to see how the message appears in your email client.
Reverting templates
If necessary, it's easy to return overly customized email templates to the default. Each template window contains a Revert templates to defaults button that will return all templates in the plugin to factory defaults.
