Reset password email. Any delay in sending?

When I send an email to a user allowing them to reset their password from the admin / membership / change email screen, how long does it take for the email to actually be sent?  Does it have to wait for a job/process or is it immediate?

  • Hi . Is the job server running? You can check Administration > Jobs to the see the status of other jobs. If it is running, are there exceptions being logged from it in Administration > Exceptions?

    Also, since this thread is from 9.x, what version are you on? If it's a more recent version, you can also verify the job server is running and connected to the message bus via Administration > Site > Message Buses > Socket Message Bus > Diagnostics, which would show the job server node alongside other web node(s).
