Ideas - Idea List : Configuration

Purpose

Displays a list of Ideas.

Where it works

This widget works on just about any page on the site.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
2. Select and place the Ideas - Idea List widget on the page.
3. Click on  in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
5. Query Type - Select from the following:
   • All ideas = Default
   • Ideas you submitted
   • Ideas you voted on
6. Secondary Filter - Select from the following:
   • With any status
   • With any open status = Default
   • With any closed status
   • With held votes
7. Select a ideation/group to pull content from - Select from the following:
   • Ideation
     • Ideation to display - Find and select an ideation by name. ID, or URL.
   • Group
     
     • Group to display - Find and select a group by name. ID, or URL.
     • Include Sub Groups - Check box to include. 
8. Excerpt Size - Enter the maximum number of characters to display for post excerpts. Default = 250
9. Sort by - Select one from the drop down.
   • By highest score
   • By date
   • By recent status change
10. Sort Order - Select from the following:
    
    • Decending = Default
    • Ascending
11. Number of ideas to display per page - Define the number of ideas to be displayed on a page. Default = 10
12. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
13. Click Publish when complete.
