Search Result List : Configuration

NOTE: If you have RSS enabled for the site, you will see an RSS icon to subscribe to search results.

Description

Purpose

Displays a list of results for a particular search.

Limitation

This widget requires search to be installed in order to work.

Where it works

This widget works on the search result page.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
2. Select and place the Forums - Links widget on the page
3. Click on  in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
5. View - Select from the following
   
   • Search Results - Displays only the search results.
   • Filter Options - Displays  the search results with filter options.
6. Search Results/Page - The number of results to be displayed per page. Default = 10
7. Forum to target when asking for help - The forum will be added to the list of related forums, if there are any in a search query.
   • Enter : Forum Name, ID, or URL
8. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
9. Click Publish when complete.
