Generic Content : Configuration

Description

Purpose

You can use this widget to enter any message, images, video, etc.

Where it works

This widget works on just about any page on the site, including the body, header, and footer.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
2. Select and place the Generic Content widget on the page
3. Click on  in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
5. Content - Content which can be formatted (or have media added) using the enhanced text editor.
6. Click Save
7. Reopen to edit Style tab or move to Step 10
8. Style tab - Define the following as desired:
   • Background Color - Hex code for the background color in the widget.
   • Background Image - URL of the image you want displayed as a background in the widget.
   • Height - The height, in pixels, of the widget.
   • Width - Select the width desired for the widget.
     • Page width
     • Background at window width, content at page width
     • Window width
9. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
10. Click Publish when complete.
