You can control the maximum size of file uploads and determine allowable file extensions. To do so:
Go to Pencil tool > Administration > Applications. From there, go to:
- For blog files - navigate to Applications > Blogs. Click File Storage Settings and locate Maximum File Size. Enter the maximum size, in Kb, of any file to be uploaded to a blog. (Note: Uploads are configured to a maximum of 2 Gigabytes 2097152 Kb in binary). For extensions of files that can be stored, scroll down to Allowed File Extensions. This is a comma-separated list of all allowed file extensions to be allowed in a blog. (Note: The screens for each of the applications are similar to the one below.)
- For calendar files - Navigate to Applications > Calendars > Options and scroll to Calendar Max File Size. This is the maximum size, in Kb, of any file to be uploaded to a calendar. For allowed file extensions, scroll up to Calendar File Storage Extensions. This is a comma-separated list of file extensions to be uploaded to a calendar.
- Forum files - Navigate to Applications > Forums > Attachments and scroll to Maximum File size. This is the maximum size, in Kb, of any file attachment in the forum. For allowed extensions, scroll down to Allowed File Extensions.This is a comma-separated list of allowed file extensions to be uploaded to a forum.
- For gallery files - Navigate to Applications > Media Galleries > Options. This file type has no max file upload size; however, on the Global Quotas tab, it does allow you to specify the number of allowed files and the total storage quota in MB.
- For ideation files - Navigate to Applications > Ideations > Options and scroll to Max file size. This is the maximum size, in Kb, of any file to be uploaded to an Ideation. For extensions, scroll down to Allowed File Extensions. This is a comma-separated list of allowed file extensions to be uploaded to an ideation.
- For wiki files - Navigate to Applications > Wikis and select Attachments. Scroll to Total file storage allowed for wiki attachments. This is the maximum size, in Kb, of any file attachment in the wiki. For extensions, scroll down to Allowed file extensions. This is a comma-separated list of all allowed file extensions allowed to be uploaded to a wiki.
