HTML code calls in Article posts not always effective

I am trying to use HTML source code to create a right justified pull quote (I have tried writing it a variety of different ways) however, the call is ignored and the pull quote is not right justified with text wrapping.

<div class='callout-right narrow'><h3>About XXX</h3><p>the content goes here.</p></div>

Anyone else try to do a pull quote in an article and, if so, how did you do it?

so to clarify, a blog post or wiki article? Also is it stripping out any class information when you save? Do you have styles associated with them and checked browser tools to ensure they are actually active?
