    The general consensus from my, admittedly brief, research was somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 wpm. That's the value encoded into the widget. Should this value need to be adjusted for your content, the widget code on line #11 would need to be changed.

    #set($readTime = $wordCount / 200)


    Just modify the 200 to the value desired and publish the changes.
