We're interested in finding better ways to highlight our member community chairs in their community profiles. They're designated as managers of community groups, and I wondered if there's a way we could surface that in their community profiles automatically? We already use achievements, which we assign manually to community chairs, so there's a badge on their profile that displays, but it doesn't specify which group they're a manager of. We're considering adding a text field where they can list which groups they chair, but it would be great if there's a way to automatically populate something given their. Can you think of a way to do this that would be more automated and more connected than a plain text field?

Blog Post: Test Blog 29/09/26

Test Blog 29/09/26 - Body

Blog: Blog app

Forum Post: RE: Is there a way to change the author/owner of a piece of content?

This thread was 6 years ago T_T;

Forum Post: RE: Can I invite other community members to collaborate on an article?

I have a similar question, although I am not looking for working on an article simultaniously or be able to collaborate on an article, mostly on a blog post or uploaded word doc. Wanted to follow up - we were able to reproduce this on our end too. As a reminder, this widget is headless by design - nothing displays visibly on the page itself, it just writes a tag into the (that's the same behavior another customer describes using this widget for in this public thread ). What we found: the tag shows up fine in View Page Source when logged in, but it's missing entirely when checked as an unauthenticated/logged-out visitor - so this is a real, confirmed gap between authenticated and anonymous rendering, not a one-off testing issue. We also weren't able to locate this widget anywhere in the backend on our end either. Our best guess: this is an older widget that's been effectively deprecated but never fully removed. The earliest documentation we could find for a "Custom Metadata" widget goes back to Community 8.x , and per Verint's Community 12 release notes , bug TE-17679 (Community 12.1.3) split this kind of functionality into two newer widgets going forward. The one Verint still documents today is "SEO Meta Data for Content Pages" . It's likely the original Custom Metadata widget was meant to be phased out in favor of that newer one, but was left selectable in the widget picker without being cleaned up - which would explain why it still works partially, why it's missing from current docs, and why neither of us can find a backend management screen for it. Given all that, we'd recommend opening a case with Verint Support to confirm whether the anonymous-user behavior is expected or a bug, since it's an out-of-the-box widget and only Verint can speak to its internals. Thank you!

Forum Post: Custom Metadata Widget

While attempting to set custom meta information on our home page we have found a widget call " Custom Metadata" which seems to provide partial function. While testing we discovered that the widget doesn't populate for unauthenticated users, but when we went to fix this issue the widget is nowhere to be found anywhere in the backend. Quick caveat up front though: this is our best read on what's going on based on how Verint's theme/page system is documented, not something we've got a confirmed fix for from Verint or seen written up elsewhere, so treat it as a strong lead rather than gospel. Here's the theory: custom pages in Verint live inside whatever theme they were built in, not at the site level. So when you spin up a brand new theme, it doesn't pull those page definitions over from your old one - the new theme just doesn't know those pages exist yet. That would explain why the old URLs blow up with that generic internal server error instead of a normal 404 - there's nothing for it to resolve against. That same idea would also explain the test pages you're building fresh in preview. Preview mode is really just staging your changes so you can see them, and based on how Verint describes it, a brand new page's URL may not actually be resolvable until you commit and publish it - so even pages you just built could 500 while they're sitting in that "staged" state. I want to be honest that I haven't been able to confirm this is exactly what's happening under the hood - I checked Verint's public documentation and known issues, and our own internal tracking, and didn't find anyone describing this specific behavior on 13.x. So it's possible there's something else going on. That said, here's what I'd try, since these are safe either way: Go into the new theme (Manage > Manage Site Theme > Manage Pages) and recreate the custom pages you need there - they won't carry over automatically. For one of your test pages, try committing/publishing that staged change and then hitting the URL again - if it starts working, that pretty much confirms the theory above. Before you cut over, I'd also do a full pass of every custom page URL on your live site and make sure each one has a matching page built in the new theme - much easier to catch gaps now than after launch. If you rebuild a page, publish it, and it's still throwing that error, that's the point where I'd loop in Verint Support directly - on hosted instances there are cases where an app pool recycle is needed to pick up new routes, and that's not something you can trigger on your end. If you're open to sharing your exact build number and one example URL, I'm happy to help keep digging on our side too, to determine whether this is just how theme scoping works or something worth flagging to Verint as a bug. Good luck with the launch!

Forum Post: RE: Custom Page - Internal Server Error

Which version of Verint are you using? That 100-500 setting you're seeing only controls how many people get an automatic notification when someone @mentions a group. Verint doesn't say anywhere, in any version of the docs, how it decides who actually makes that cut once a group gets bigger than the number you've set. I went back through the Mentions docs, the Notification Configuration pages, and the Notification Distribution Types stuff for versions 9 all the way through 13, and there's nothing - no mention of it going by join date, alphabetical order, role, anything. So with a 1,000-person group and your cap sitting at 100, I genuinely can't tell you which 100 people get picked. I would recommend opening a ticket with their support team directly if you need a confirmed answer And even the ones who do get selected only actually see the notification if their own preferences allow it - so the real number could be even smaller than whatever the cap is set to. Worth keeping in the back of your mind. Now, the distribution list part - good news there, that one's doable and it's not tied to the 100/500 limit at all. You've basically got two options: pull it through the Group User REST endpoint (List Group User, you'll just need to page through it to get the whole list), or grab it from Administration > Reports > Members and filter down to the group. Either way gets you every single member, not just whoever would've gotten the notification. As far as actually reaching everyone once you're past that 500-person ceiling - @mention just isn't the tool for that, even maxed out at 500 it won't cover a group of 1,000. Your best bet is pulling that full roster (same options as above) and sending it out through whatever email tool or mail merge you've got. If you want this to be something repeatable down the road without exporting a list every time, that'd mean building out a custom notification type or automation rule that targets the group directly - I know Verint's team has pointed people toward that same fix before when this comes up. Let me know if you want to go the automation rule route - happy to dig into that with you.

Forum Post: List of Members a Notification Was Sent To

We just saw that if you mention a group, that the site has a customizable setting of 100-500 users. There's no IsDraft flag exposed anywhere for blog posts, so drafts really aren't queryable via API right now. Wikis are a little better off - List Wiki Page does return an IsPublished field per page, it's just not something you can filter by in the request, so you'd have to pull all pages and filter on your end.[/quote] If only content in the 'draft' status also had the 'unpublished' status that sounds like a suitable patch, and then reporting adapted to suit. Calendar event permission checks are evaluated against the specific Calendar object's own permission set, not just the Group's default application permissions (this was the subject of an older fix, TE-17127, which corrected CalendarEventContentType.HasPermission to check at the Calendar level rather than the Group level). If this Calendar was created and never had its own Permissions tab explicitly opened and saved, it's possible it doesn't have a fully generated permission set — even though the Group's roles look correct. Try going into Manage this Calendar > Permissions directly (not the Group's Roles/Permissions page), confirm the roles/Everyone are listed with View, and hit Save even if nothing looks different, just to force the permission set to (re)generate. Rule out caching. Permission changes at the application/content level don't always propagate immediately. After adjusting permissions, try an app pool recycle or a cache clear if you have access, then retest in an incognito/anonymous session. Since you're seeing this for anonymous and registered users (including presumably higher-privileged accounts), that pattern is more consistent with a broken/missing permission entry on this specific Calendar than a role-configuration gap — which is what points me at #1 above rather than another pass through the Group permission matrix. TE-19274, for what it's worth, looks like it's scoped to the event creation/registration button flow rather than viewing permissions, so I'd agree that's probably not your culprit. If none of that turns it up, this feels like a case worth opening with Verint Support directly with a repro — a 403-style permission error hitting anonymous, registered, and apparently admin-level users on a single calendar smells like a data/config edge case in how that Calendar's permission set got created, rather than something fixable purely from the UI. Hope that helps — let us know what you find!
