Add privacy indicator to group icons

Quite frequently people get a scare as they see a group that they doubt should be seen by others. They then have a pavlov reaction to shut it down. It is not immediately clear what the privacy setting of a group is hence people do not trust to share in a group.

If we would have a privacy indicator to a group icon, we could tell people immediately who can see this content.

  • Something similar. This (deprecated ) widget only displays in private situations. I think it is very important for anybody wanting to post anything to understand who can see this content. We'd have to think about the right UX and visuals but the point is to build trust. Telligent doesn't know a concept like "Public for Logged in Users" so either something is public and then the whole world can see it or it is private and then only the members can see it. In both cases the user needs to know. Imho posting to a public place is the most risky from a user's perspective.
