An event is a manually or automatically executed task or command in Zimbra Community, such as a login.The event logs record server information, creations, updates, and deletions (that is, anything that changes an object's state in the database). When records are written they include both User ID and the impersonated User ID when appropriate.
The event logs record every event in Zimbra Community and provide you with the event information such as event ID, message, event date, and other particulars. You can perform a query of events by date range or event type. The logs are important for troubleshooting your system. If you contact Support to help you troubleshoot a problem, the log can help pinpoint any problems.
To access the event logs, navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Tools > Event Logs.
