CredSpark Survey/Poll not appearing in the Email Digest

Recently we integrated CredSpark with our Community. We embedded CredSpark Survey/Polls in some of our content. However in the email digest those Survey/Polls are not appearing (getting the message "This embeddable may not be viewed in the current render target." in the email). Please suggest anyway we can display those in the digest emails.

Thanks Casey and Sara Collins . We explored the Deliver tab but it is not solving our purpose. Our requirement is to display the CredSpark Poll/Survey in the Daily/Weekly Email Digest (the way it appears in the Community) without making any customization in Email Digest template.

Thanks, Sara Collins ! Anshuman Prusty , have you explored CredSpark's Deliver tab? It offers the ability to generate HTML code to embed the first question of a quiz or poll in an email. I don't know if that will work in the digest email, but it might be worth a try?

This is most likely expected platform behavior. Email digests in Verint are generally limited to rendering basic content like plain text and images, and I have not seen it be able to support embedded or interactive components such as CredSpark surveys or polls. That’s why you’re seeing the message: “This embeddable may not be viewed in the current render target.”

At this time, there isn’t a native way to have those interactive elements display directly within digest emails. A common workaround is to include a link or call-to-action in the email that directs users back to the community page where the survey/poll is hosted.

That said, it may be worth confirming with Casey and/or Gabbi at CredSpark to see if they have any recommended approaches or alternative embed options that are more email-friendly.

As I am sure you kow, under Email Options in the admin panel is where you can adjust the logo for emails:

I think what you are showing above is actually a logged Verint bug. Maybe you can confirm what Version of 13 you are on? This information below is what I had logged related to the bug you are shwoing in your screenshot above:

Plain text bodies of emails are not properly cleaned of HTML

Notificaitons on phones from community emails are showing script for styline and not email body

How to change the preheader of the email notifications - without changing the place of the logo

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out in email studio where to change the preheader of my email.

See this example. I would like to - same as the other emails below - add informative information in the preheader.

Now, as you can see in the top two emails, it shows the name of the image file of our community logo.

Where and how can I change the preheader of the email, without changing the place of the logo?

Creating notifications plugins

We use User Notification widget these days to have more visibility in the platform, specially for Forum Thread activities. On of the things we found very useful is when a user can get a notification every time a forum thread is verified, however, there's a step in the middle, which is the Suggested Answer. I saw there is no notification for that event and I was wondering if we could create a custom one using an INotificationType plugin. So, couple of questions here:

Is is possible to create a custom notification for Suggested Answer?
If #1 is possible, could you give me some insights on which event should we use, like in Verint's sample, for a new comment event, we need to use Apis.Get<IComments>().Events.AfterCreate

Thanks in advance, we are running 13.0.2.33658 version.

There is an out of the box email/ notification type for Forum Reply Suggested Answer - that may be a bug if you are not seeing it. I would recommend creating a support ticket with Verint to confirm

I’ve attached a screenshot from the Verint Community site showing the “Remember me” option you’re referring to.

I’m not 100% certain which specific cookie this is based on. I would assume it’s tied to whatever session or persistent login cookie is created when a user logs into your Verint Community, but I don’t have confirmation on the exact cookie name or behavior. It may be worth opening a ticket with Verint Support to get a definitive answer.

As far as I know, there isn’t a straightforward, out-of-the-box setting to control whether this option appears on the sign-in page or to have it disabled by default.

If you navigate from your community home page via the pencil icon → Manage Site Theme → Manage Pages → User Login, you can edit the login and create widget. However, this mainly allows you to configure the login type (email, username, or both) and doesn’t provide any control over the “Remember me” checkbox.

Within the Administration Console, if you go to Widget Studio → User Login and Create Widget → Resources, you can locate and modify the text associated with the “Remember me” checkbox.

Additionally, in that same widget, the form_Login file contains the code that renders the “Remember me” checkbox and its label. You could customize or remove it there if needed, depending on your requirements.

Does anyone know what Verint’s definition for the “Remember me” option is?

It is most probably based on a cookie but what exact cookie is being used for this is unclear to me. Where to set this, what is it based on and how can I make sure it is disabled by default?

When upgrading from 11 to 13 what about sso authentication?

When upgrading from version 11 to 13. The version 11 currently has SSO CookieAuth enabled, with external authentication system. Will it cause any problem after the upgrade? Or can I continue with the upgrade and will able to continue to log in after login. I have been trying to access localaccess page on my app server. But I have not been able to do that. Thanks for any guidance.

Hi Tamanna , Cookie Authentication has not changed significantly between V11 and V13, so it should be fine. I don't want to make any assumptions about your set up, so here are some possibilities

If you're upgrading on a separate environment, make sure that environment is on the same cookie domain as your External Authentication System that is generating the cookie

If you're upgrading on a separate environment, I would recommend disabling cookie off and performing the upgrade and needed steps, then enable Cookie Auth separately and test that

First, you are absolutely not off base. Your approach is aligned with how mature community programs model deflection. Separating direct vs. indirect, verified vs. suggested, and community vs. support answers is exactly right.

A few points to consider:

Verified answers: 1:1 ratio is clean and defensible. Breaking out community vs. support is standard.
Suggested answers: These are transitional. Many teams weight them conservatively (25–40%) based on historical conversion to verified.
Indirect deflection (views/engagement): Conservative multipliers are appropriate — typically 10–25% for verified, 5–10% for suggested — because not all views prevent cases.
Document methodology: Make clear that these are directional estimates, not definitive case avoidance.

Overall, your framework is sound. The main refinements are weighting suggested answers based on historical patterns and clearly stating assumptions to keep your estimates credible.

Auth0 SSO not working

Hi,

I am trying to setup SSO using auth0. I have setup as per the documentation on Verint site to enable SSO using OpenID.

I am able to somewhat login by manipulating the url, but once logged in.

My account, which is Admin, is giving

Access Denied

You do not have permission to perform the requested action.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

All the roles and users relations have been migrated to auth0 already. The users/roles are still there in the Verint.

Hi Amit Patel, we support Verint Community admins on a weekly basis in setting up SSO with OIDC, sometimes it requires slightly more work and config than other times. To be able to support you properly with this, people in the forum here would require more information. I assume this might require sharing some more sensitive data or sharing screens. Hi Y'all!

I am joining a robust community as a community manager and I'm looking to join all of the groups and forums, and get alerts for for event notifications in bulk. I'm not seeing a way to do that in the documentation and I am not finding any similar questions in the history. Rather than continuing to go one by one through each and every group which takes multiple clicks (join the group, go to the event calendar, turn on notifications for the event calendar, go to my email preferences, subscribe to the digests, etc.) I'm hoping someone here knows of a more efficient way to manage membership in groups through the admin panel rather than the end user interface.

Very short and simple answer: there's no way with OOTB features to subscribe in bulk to all applications and digests in a group.
Unfortunately you will have join all groups manually, subscribe to all digests manually and subscribe to all applications manually. The fastest way to do that is to join all the groups and then go to your profile and to settings and then to Email digests and subscribe there. Then in all the groups you will have to go into all applications and turn on notifications.

It can be done in bulk but only via script or automations which, if you have one, your technical team can help you with or one of the Verint development partners for example.

Hi Mark Foster , welcome to Verint Communities! In principle there's no risk to enable iframe functionality for embedding videos in announcements and blog post, I'm sure you know the source you're embedding from 🙂

The only widget that we usually advise not to use is the "unfiltered HTML" widget. But that's not used in announcements and blog posts.

New to Verint, so coming from a place of ignorance! I was looking though the settings and I see there is a way to enable iframes in all the different types of content. We have this disabled so I was wondering if there are any risks or issues with enabling iframe functionality for embedding videos in announcements or blog posts.
