Unable to select only one media gallery in Tagged Content List

I have two media galleries in one group. I'm trying to configure the Tagged Content widget so that the page organizes content for users. The problem is that the widget seems to only be able to filter by GROUP and not APPLICATION. So it automatically draws in content from both media galleries. Here's what happens:

1. I set the Tagged Content Widget to pull in all content with a certain tag from ONE application (the first media gallery in the group). This is what it looks like when I set it:

2. I do the same thing for another Tagged Content List. But this time, after I chose Files as my application, I enter the name of the second media gallery.

3. When I click Save and publish, the two widgets pull in the EXACT same content. They are not distinguishing between the two media galleries at all.

4. So I go back to the page to check, and I find that in fact the two widgets have been automatically updated to include both media galleries. This is what it looks like after I go back and look again (after having made NO changes):

What is going on here? Is it not possible to filter content by only one application? And if that's the case, why does the widget say "select group or application to search"?

I'm not sure if this is expected behavior or something for support. If it's expected behavior, is there ANY way that I can adjust the widget to pull in ONE APPLICATION only?

Hi Grant Pankonien - confirming this issue was resolved in in 11.9.

Annie Terry I have not seen this issue in clients sites on version 12 and 13. Also confirming you have two tagged content list widgets on the same page? I went back and just tested on a demo site to triple check - and am not seeing the issue.

This isn’t something that can be done out of the box today. The Interactions Report doesn’t currently support adding an email address column for the member who provided a Verified Answer or Suggested Answer.

You may want to open a ticket with Verint Support to confirm whether there’s any workaround or roadmap item related to this, as they’d be best positioned to clarify what’s possible with reporting in this area.

As it stands, manually reviewing the question and corresponding answer (as you described) is the only reliable way to determine whether the responder is an employee or non-employee.

Hopefully support can provide additional insight or alternatives.

Hello analytics experts!

Does anyone know if there is a way to add an email address column to the Interactions Report?

I am specifically looking for the "solver" of questions -- "Verified Answer" and the responder to -- "Suggested Answer" questions in the Activity Type column.

(I.E. the member PROVIDING the answer or suggested answer)

I would like to filter on employees and non-employees and segment them.

Otherwise, I would need to manually look at each question in the URL column. Look at the verified or suggested reply and the member to see if they are an employee or not.

Report on events by create date

We have to log all community events into a separate system, right now it is done manually. Is there a way that I can have a report of events that are being added with an export that includes an event create date so that I know when new events are added? I think I'd like to do and import once a week so if I could grab all of the events that were created within the last week that would help me keep track of things rather than going one by one

This isn’t something that can be done out of the box today. There isn’t a built-in report/export that includes an event create date or allows filtering events by when they were added.

That said, it can be accomplished with a custom plugin. We’ve built similar plugin-based solutions for other clients where events are exported with additional metadata (like create date) and can be filtered to only include events created within a specific timeframe (e.g., the last 7 days).

If this is something you’d like to explore, a custom plugin could automate the weekly export and remove the need for manual tracking entirely.

Currently, there’s no report or metric that shows how many times content has been shared within a specific date range. The Content Interactions report doesn’t include a “share” metric.

So unfortunately, there’s no built-in way to accurately report on content sharing activity.

That said, this could potentially be achieved via a custom plugin that hooks into the share action and logs those events for reporting purposes.

I’d also strongly recommend submitting this as a feature request here so it can be considered for future enhancements:

Is there a report on content that is "shared"?

If I am on a thread, I can share it.

However, I cannot find a way to view the number of content that is shared in a given date range.

I have looked at content interactions, but there is no metric on it.

Any ideas if this is available in any report?

Hmmm, would that metric be: "Sent Private Message" in the Interactions report? Because when I select more > share, it brings me to the PM page to select member(s) to send it to.

Is there a way to change the author/owner of a piece of content?

From time to time, due to an employee departure or something, we may have need to change the author/owner of a piece of content. For instance, a development roadmap for a piece of software or something like that. Is there a way to do that either through the OOTB admin UI or through any of the available APIs?

Things have moved on since we talked about this, and using authenticator apps is very common. Most people are using one these days.

Verint wouldn't be adding something bespoke that's reliant on a specific 3rd party implementation. It would use the Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) algorithm, specified in the open standard RFC 6238.

We could really do with some movement on this to help further secure our communities, especially for admin accounts.

we recently upgraded from 11.1.2.1145 to 11.1.10.18802, and from there, admins are receiving notifications regarding group request access.

All the groups are private listed, private closed memberships, and the admins who are not even a member of that group are receiving the request access notifications

I suppose only the group owners should receive group request access by default.

I too am receiving group request messages whenever anybody on the system asks to join a group. I am an administrator and am not part of the groups. There are, however, a select number of groups where I am a manager and I would want the join request emails. Therefore, I cannot turn off the "Someone requests membership in a group whose membership I manage" notification. We are running 13.0.1.32004. Is there a way for our administrators to stop getting group requests if they are not managers of the groups?

Hi Anshuman Prusty did you were able to solve your problem? I'm having the same situation/problem. Can't update user's Avatar using automation. The code below runs, but the Avatar remains the same. I'm using the event User.AfterCreate with the following Javascript code:

core_v2_userAvatar.Update(userId, { AvatarUrl: stringAvatarPath });

We have 13.0.2.33658 version.

kpflor You should be able to go to the specific forum application (not the group) and set the permissions accordingly and turn off the "Create" option, but leave on the "reply" option:

You'll navigate to the specific forum, click the admin pencil > Manage Forum > Permissions and then uncheck "Create Discussion/Question" for your Registered Users group (or any other roles that have defined permissions).

I'd also recommend updating your theme to put a Generic Content widget or something like that on the forum home and forum thread pages to start informing members of this change.

(I'm currently on v.12.1, but I don't think I recall any changes from 11 that would stop this from working the same way)

Disabling new questions/discussions

We have a product that has inherited several modules that all have their own forum in our community. We want to pause the ability to create new questions or discussion in those modules' forums so we can redirect users to the new product's forum. We don't want to disable the modules' forums outright, because there are still questions/discussions that need to be answered/responded to PLUS we need time to educate the users of this change. This will also help us with a stopping point in new content so we can run a report and determine what all is going to be "moved" to the new forum vs. what all is going to just be archived. If we don't stop new content from coming in, we'll have to keep pulling reports to include new posts coming in.

Does anyone know how to turn off the ability to start a new question or discussion?
