How could we call an internal endpoint on a hosted community?

On a Verint-hosted community, there is server-side legacy code we are migrating to the community that communicates with an internal service, e.g. https://internal-server:8080/some-endpiont 
 Is there programmatic way to implement this in Telligent, or is there a solution Hosting could provide with IIS?

Is the internal server also located within the verint hosting environment? Generally, local network access is not allowed. You may want to open a support ticket to review this specific case.
