Analytics: Total View Count vs. Views

How are you matching up the data?

At the center of the connection is the complete list of users extracted from the REST API, which includes each user's ID and email address.

The "Total View Count" is connected by the user ID.

The "Views" are connected by the email.

Assuming you exported the following on the Viewed Content Report:

The userId in the export is the creator of the content, not who actually viewed the content.  

You would need to drill into the actual count to see the individual who viewed the content.

I think my mistake might be that the "Total View Count" ID is not the viewer's User ID. It is the ID of an author of a piece of content. Verifying now.
