when user uploads .asf to forum, viewers see: 'this plugin is not supported'

As I said in the title, user uploads .asf file. When viewed in the forum, I just see the jigsaw puzzle icon in place of the video, with the message beneath that 'this plugin is not supported'.

Any suggestions anyone? The file type is allowed by default in allowed file extensions in config.

Can you share a screenshot? But it sounds like the browser is attempting to load the video but the player doesn't support it, it actually sounds like possibly quicktime.

didn't take a screenshot ... it was just a jigsaw icon and those words. I think you might be right ... presumably any .asf file will not play on any platform in safari. Should probably just disallow that file type.
