Taylor, what version of 10.x do you currently have up and running? I'll be happy to test and see if we can get this to reproduce.
Thank you, Michael! I'm using 10.0.2.5303
Taylor, I'm seeing similar behavior in that it won't hide replies but it does hide thread starting posts. Is that the same behavior that you're seeing on your side?
Yes, that's the same issue I'm having. Any idea what's up?
Not yet. I've pulled together some additional notes from my tests and created an escalation to get more eyes on this.
Thank you for your patience while we get this figured out Taylor.

Hi Michael! I wanted to follow up to see if you had identified the cause of this issue? Thanks! JennFeltis
Taylor, thank you for the follow-up. I apologize for the delayed reply.
We've logged an item against this TE-12114 behavior.
I meant to add previously but depending on your need it may be better to moderate the user, mark them as unapproved and/or delete the account.
The hide user's content filter doesn't take effect for the replies in the threaded reply area nor inside the activity stream.
Thanks for getting back with me! So that I'm clear, the "Hide this member's content from other members" checkbox should hide users' replies, but does not currently work on version 10.0.2.5303, correct? Does it work on any of the newer versions? JennFeltis
Taylor, your understanding is correct. This functionality did hide both threads and user replies prior to 10.x. That said, it would still not hide activity story messages or any other types of content.
There are no currently released versions of 10.x where this works correctly. I know this is currently marked for improvement but is not presently scheduled as it requires some overhaul to make it truly effective.
I'm adding Ben Tiedt to this reply in case he had additional information to add.
Thank you, Michael! I appreciate the information!
