Does anyone know how an administrator can unlock a user account after too many failed login attempts? A community member received the following email about her account:
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The user should automatically get unlocked after a set amount of time (default is "5" minutes and is configurable in the web.config). The manual unlocking is not currently working. I've filed the following bug to get this fixed.

Thank you, Brian. I really appreciate your help!
Brian Dooley, would you be able to direct me to where I could configure the amount of time an account is locked? I currently have a member of my site who's account has been locked for several days now, and I'm unsure how to fix the issue.
Instead of adjusting the time which would affect only newly locked users, I'd recommend manually unlocking the affected user by clicking the "Unlock" link when editing the user in Administration > Membership > Members:
Unfortunately, I don't have that option available to me - our site is currently running version 10.0.2.5303
If you contact support, they can help you manually update the locked status in the database until you can upgrade to the version that exposes this in the UI.
Is there not a way to configure the amount of time an account is locked?
The restoration of locked accounts requires the "Unlock Users" job to be enabled and schedule to run. It honors the setting "unlockUserAfterMinutes" in the communityserver.config (or override file) which defaults to 5 minutes.
To change this setting, we recommend using an override file ( https://community.telligent.com/community/10/w/legacy-user-documentation/59272/how-to-use-override-files ). You can note the existing location of the option by looking at the full communityserver.config file and searching for "unlockUserAfterMinutes".
