Does anyone know how an administrator can unlock a user account after too many failed login attempts? A community member received the following email about her account:
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The user should automatically get unlocked after a set amount of time (default is "5" minutes and is configurable in the web.config). The manual unlocking is not currently working. I've filed the following bug to get this fixed.
Thank you, Brian. I really appreciate your help!
'#106141 No way to manually unlock a user locked out after account has been locked.' has been completed for 3/2018 - March Service Pack affecting 10.1.
I am on version 10.2.2.4296 and still not able to manually unlock a user locked out after account has been locked
What type of authentication are you using? Are you able to see the unlock link when editing a user who is locked on in Administration > Membership > Members?
Brian Dooley, would you be able to direct me to where I could configure the amount of time an account is locked? I currently have a member of my site who's account has been locked for several days now, and I'm unsure how to fix the issue.
Instead of adjusting the time which would affect only newly locked users, I'd recommend manually unlocking the affected user by clicking the "Unlock" link when editing the user in Administration > Membership > Members:
Unfortunately, I don't have that option available to me - our site is currently running version 10.0.2.5303
If you contact support, they can help you manually update the locked status in the database until you can upgrade to the version that exposes this in the UI.
Is there not a way to configure the amount of time an account is locked?
